Sam Desmond is a writer living in the bucolic town of Bayport, Long Island, with her husband and two canine children, Oban and Rye. She is a full-time columnist for the Gazettes (Bayport-Blue Point, Sayville, and upcoming Patchogue) and a regular contributor to LI-DOG (Dog Owners' Group). She heads her own consulting company where she and her merry band of scribes provide drafts and guidance for professional, academic, and personal writing projects. Prior to pursuing writing full-time, Sam worked as a legal writer and researcher for multinational law firms in New York City.
