Spin Cycle Dizzies Generations, Trauma Tongue Ties the Masses

By MonKhí

English fails me
Time and time again
Disappoints me.
Leaves me on my knees
Defeated
Lost & Tired.
A failure.
I can see the sentiments
I don’t have the tools to quench my minds fires
Blazing in tiny fleeting corners.
Hinges limp & creaking in the desert wind
Lonely
Missing
Yearning for this taste my body cannot relate to.
Because it’s earthy and
I am spacey.
I am starry
I am
No word
I’ve been stolen from
The opportunity isn’t mine.
Disappointed from my own intent.

This isn’t mine.

Perpetually misunderstood.
Diabolical,
Because it had to be curated that way
It wasn’t always that way
I am exasperated at all the layers
English
is
upon
itself.
And upon me.

MonKhí see the pain of human kind, even if they don’t. MonKhí do the oo-oo-ahh-ahh-ing that make the desert jump. MonKhí likes its bananas opened from the bottom end. It writes doodles for its friends and enables sharing on mobile devices. Through MonKhí’s many phases of evolution, it’s gained the ability to walk upright, head held high. As a result, MonKhí is constantly dreaming. Dreaming of worlds who encourage change, encourage freedom. Dreaming of revolution.

"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive."
