The New Engagement literature and art journal celebrates and champions the voices of The Feminine, whether it be cisgender women, trans women, or cisgender or transgender men who identify as feminists. We regard feminism as both a reverence for femininity and a push toward equality, not dominance. True feminism seeks no oppression or sovereignty. It aspires to an intersectional approach to combating all forms of bigotry. TNE will continue publishing essays, short stories, poetry, plays, photography, paintings, illustrations, and short films that deal with feminism, The Feminine, in a way that is enlightening, truthful, and accurate.
