Michael Carroll’s short story collection, “Little Reef,” was published in 2014 and won the 2015 Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The collection was also shortlisted for the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Fiction at the 27th Lambda Literary Awards. Carroll’s short fiction has appeared in Boulevard, Ontario Review, and The New Penguin Book of Gay Short Stories. Carroll is married to legendary writer Edmund White; the two have been together for 22 years.
